Our Father Abraham: Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith by Marvin R. Wilson (1989) is an excellent overview of the Jewish roots of the Christian Church. Dr. Wilson, a former professor at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, taught Old Testament, Jewish Studies, and Hebrew while he was there. His sequel to this book, “Exploring Our Hebraic Heritage: A Christian Theology of Roots and Renewal” (2014) is also a must read. Both books are published by William B. Eerdmans.
